Thanks to a grant from the Virginia Horse Industry Board, we are proud to announce the East Coast Stock Horse Association Virginia Bred Program.

The Virginia Bred Program provides an opportunity for stallion owners to promote, market, and show their offspring. This program offers special pay back classes at each show, which are restricted to offspring foaled in Virginia, owned by a Virginia resident, and shown by a resident of Virginia.

Payouts will go to the first three places in each class, with 20% going to the stallion owner (or the person paying the stallion nomination fee) and 80% to the exhibitor. The stallion nomination fee is $150.

In addition to making all offspring eligible to show in the ECSHA Virginia Bred classes, the nomination fee will cover advertising the stallion on the ECSHA website and advertising of horses for sale that are sired by the nominated stallion.

ANY BREED welcome! Both registered and unregistered horses can be shown in the Virginia Bred Classes.

There will be four classes at each ECSHA show this year: Ranch Rail Pleasure, Ranch Trail, Ranch Reining, and Limited Stock Horse.
